The grapes to produce Greco di Tufo Feudi di San Gregorio  were harvested at optimal maturity. Fermentation of Greco di Tufo Feudi di San Gregorio took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of between 16° to 18°C, to preserve the varietal characteristics of the Greco variety. This was followed by four monthsmaturation on its lees, adding complexity and texture, which took place in stainless steel tanks.
The beautiful Feudi di San Gregorio vineyards are spread out over lush and gentle hills in Sorbo Serpico, approximately an hour from Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The soils are uniquely volcanic, sandstone and marl. Each vineyard is closely monitored with a meteorological station and combined with the technologies of the new stateof-the-art wine cellar; they ensure that each vintage comes as close to perfection as possible. The soil in the vineyard is predominantly chalky Tufo soil, which imparts wonderful elegance to the resulting wine.
One of the main protagonists in the renaissance of Southern Italian wines, Feudi di San Gregorio has carved out a reputation for making truly world-class wines in less than 30 years. Feudi di San Gregorio began in the mid 1980s with the aim of safeguarding local traditions and unlocking the potential of key indigenous grapes such as Fiano, Greco, Falanghina and Aglianico.
